A riddle asks a child to hold several clues in mind and put them together — exactly what a reader does with a sentence. On Riddle Ridge every clue is read aloud, and the answer is one of the pictures.
Apa yang akan dipelajari anak anda
- Listen to a whole clue before choosing
- Use two or more clues together
- Explain why the other pictures don’t fit
Listening comes before reading
Understanding spoken language is the foundation of reading comprehension. A child who can work out “I buzz and I make honey” is practising the same skill they will later use on written stories.
