    • 3 quests
    • Beginner → Getting stronger → Challenge

Kata arah are words of direction and position: atas (top), bawah (under), dalam (inside), luar (outside), tepi (side), hadapan (front), belakang (back), tengah (middle), antara (between), and the compass points utara, selatan, timur and barat.

    What your child will learn

    • Say where something is
    • Use a direction word after di, ke or dari
    • Name the four compass points

    Di, ke or dari first

A direction word normally follows a preposition: “di atas meja” (on the table), “ke dalam kotak” (into the box), “dari belakang rumah” (from behind the house).

The sun rises in the east (timur) and sets in the west (barat). North is utara and south is selatan.
