Getting ready is full of small decisions: is it raining? Where do my shoes go? At the Weather Window, Early Years explorers match clothes to the weather and things to the places they belong. Every question is read aloud.
What your child will learn
- Choose what to wear or take for rain, sun, cold and wind
- Know where everyday things belong at home
- Explain a choice in a few words
Small jobs, big independence
Children who can pick a coat for a cold day and put their shoes away are taking their first steps towards looking after themselves. Talking about why — “boots keep our feet dry” — matters as much as the right answer.
