Is it alive?
All living things grow, need food and water, breathe (take in air), get rid of waste, sense the world around them, move in some way and make new living things. A robot can move and make sounds, but it doesn’t grow or eat, so it isn’t alive.
Wood, cotton and paper come from plants, so they were once alive. Rocks, metal and glass have never been alive.
